London District: (web page)
The country is divided into over 30 Methodist 'districts'. Orpington & Chislehurst Circuit is part of the London District which covers roughly the area within the M25. Because of its large size the London District has three 'chairs' instead of the usual one.
The Methodist Church of Great Britain: (web page)
Although Methodism has spread througout the world, each country has its own autonomous 'connexion'. The Methodist Connexion of Great Britain consists of all Methodist churches, members, ministers and organisations within England, Scotland and Wales. It is governed by an annual Conference of elected representatives. Each year a president and vice-president are appointed to serve the connexion.
