This is the website of Orpington Methodist Church, Sevenoaks Road, Orpington BR6 9JH
          
We are a church of all ages situated in the heart of Orpington.
We are always delighted to welcome any visitors to our church services.

Each of us is on a journey of faith. 
Together we are learning what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.
Everyone is made welcome in our church, wherever they are on their own particular journey.

 
The best way to meet us is to join us for our Sunday morning worship at 10:30.
At the start of the service the children join the congregation and then they take part in their own activities in 'KidZone'
whilst the adults are led in worship by our minister or one of our other preachers. 
We all come together again for refreshments afterwards.
There is also a creche for pre-school children.

Commitment and Membership

We welcome people into membership of the church through baptism and confirmation.
We celebrate the fact that we are all welcome in the family of God.
This is not through anything other than the grace of God.
That is why we welcome children in baptism because right from the beginning we know that we are loved by God
even before we have language or awareness to understand.
We commit ourselves to helping children grow in faith, hope and love
and since we remain children (in God’s eyes)we know that our learning is life-long.
At different points in people’s lives comes the point of confirmation.
This is a time when we want to make a response to God’s grace and express our commitment
to worship and serve Him in the life of the church and world.

A small group of young people is starting to explore membership with a view to being confirmed at Easter.
